Notices
The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

I am a T.O. in my area and am also a panelist for many power rankings in my area. I am married and have 4 children who are the greatest things to ever exist. My eldest son, Mike, is pretty good at smash and is in Elite smash. The ''Melee'' community is not big here but the other communities here are bigger and have more tournament entrants. I occasionally do charity work and I help out at the local homeless shelter.

'''Uncle John''' is my uncle, my mom's brother, and a smasher who lives in Michigan.
In ''[[Smash 4]]'', Uncle John played with me and the rest of my family several times over the years, mostly on Christmas and the Champine's family reunions. Out of all the characters, he specialized in playing Bowser due to 'looking badass' and his neutral special, Fire Breath, being 'awesome'. He also occasionally played Ganondorf, similarly due to his appearance. Despite both Bowser and Ganondorf both being commonly said to be low tier, Uncle John commonly placed 1st whenever he played Smash 4, with his most common win condition being spacing out the opponent with Fire Breath as Bowser and KOing with side smash. Because of this, he is widely regarded to be the best smasher in the Champine family, with his nephews signing him up for local tournaments, in which he commonly placed very well in, usually around 4th or 3rd place.
After the release of ''[[Smash Ultimate]]'', Uncle John's niece, Ashley Champine, received the game at launch, and ever since, Uncle John has been fairly well at playing that game as well. In comparison to his days playing Smash 4, Uncle John was quite thrown off by the higher speed of the game, complaining about why 'everyone is flying across the air and shit'. Despite this, Uncle John has still placed quite well at family reunions and Christmas parties, still maining Bowser and Ganondorf, but has now picked up Wolf due to his fast speed and reminding him of ''Star Wars'' character Boba Fett. He has also picked up Pokemon Trainer, but focuses on Charizard due to him believing that Squirtle and Ivysaur 'look too gay'. Uncle John hasn't been participating in local tournaments as often as his Smash 4 days, mainly due to his age and now being a manager at a local Best Buy.
==Playstyle==
Uncle John is a very aggressive player, despite Bowser's role as a grappler in ''Smash 4''. He prefers to rush forward and quickly approach opponents either via running or using dash attack, quickly using either side smash or Fire Breath, depending on how far away the opponent is. Due to mostly playing with the Champine family, consisting of young children and old people, this aggressive strategy has proved to be surprisingly effective.
Such an example of this is during the Champine Family Reunion of 2015, in which Uncle John fought my dad, Frank, over the last piece of pizza. Frank, being a Little Mac main, was outclassed by Uncle John's aggressive playstyle, struggling to find an opening and ultimately failed to remove even a single stock from Uncle John's Bowser, thus making him win the last slice of pepperoni pizza we ordered from Little Caesar's.
