This is my current signature on SmashWiki. This is being used as my signature via a SUBST: template.

If you want to follow my example and make a transcluded signature, keep in mind this VERY IMPORTANT rule: it must be written as a SUBST template (like mine is as {{SUBST:User:Black Vulpine/Signature}}). The code must also not be too large - to give you a yardstick, my signature is pretty close to the permitted limit for signature coding. If your code is much bigger than this, it’s probably too much. Finally, if you want to add blocks of text to your signature page like I’ve done here, you can (and should) prevent it from showing up in your signature by using a noinclude wiki code. You can also use includeonly, but I recommend the former.
