User:Amber Blackstar/Fighter Movie Appearances/Blacklist
To make things a bit clearer for people who contribute new things for this page for me, this is a list of representation I do not count for the page, alongside an explanation why. Do keep in mind that at any point this list is subject to change, and at any point one of these appearances could be added to the page for any reason.
Non-parody examples[edit]
Character | Movie/Show | Reason for blacklisting |
---|---|---|
Duck Hunt | Wreck-It Ralph | Was previously on the page due to a claim that the ducks appeared, but was later found to be from an erroneous source. Neither the dog nor the duck appear in any capacity. |
Mario | The Wizard | Only appears through gameplay of Super Mario Bros. 3. |
Wreck-It Ralph | Only ever mentioned and never actually appears. | |
Pac-Man | Tron | While a really neat appearance for the time, Pac-Man's cameo in the movie is less an actual legitimate appearance and more a witty reference. |
Franchises blacklisted[edit]
Note: These are all franchises that various characters playable in Smash do appear in, but primarily focus on the parody aspect and are never actually serious appearances. Additionally, parodies are very hard to track due to how common it is in modern day media. This list exists for better readability and if you see a show/movie here, it's safe to assume that any characters that appear in it don't count until otherwise noted.
Family Guy | Futurama | MAD | Robot Chicken |
Costumes blacklisted[edit]
Note: Costumes that have since become their own characters (such as Daisy) will not be included here. This is only for costumes that have significant enough changes to where they're clearly based on another character, but either the changes aren't nearly significant enough, the announcer doesn't acknowledge them as separate entities, or both.
Blood Falcon | Blue Bowser | Claus |
Dark Link | Dark Meta Knight | Galacta Knight |
Keeby | Shadow Link | Super Punch-Out!! Protagonist |
For a frame of reference, here are what I deem eligible alts:
Additionally, all opposite gender alts are included, but they are not counted as separate entities due to essentially being a genderswap of the same character. As such, regardless of which gender appears in media, their appearance still counts.
