Royal Treatment was a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament held in Dijon, France, on November 1st, 2004. Among the oldest documented tournaments in France, Royal Treatment was, with 56 entrants, the largest tournament in Europe at the time. It was also the first time a significant amount of international players were in attendance, featuring talent such as early Dutch players MrSilver and Rune, as well as Austrian veteran Fox128, for a total of 17 international players.

Format[edit]

Attendees were placed in pools of around 6 players. Top 3 of each pool advanced to the Top 24 double-elimination bracket, with those who placed 3rd starting in the Losers bracket.
