MLG New York Opener 2006, also known as MLG Meadowlands 2006, was a Super Smash Bros. Melee national tournament held by Major League Gaming in Secaucus, New Jersey, from April 21st-23rd, 2006. It was the first tournament in the MLG 2006 circuit.
The tournament is best known for the grand finals match between Ken and PC Chris. PC Chris's victory over Ken is known as one of the first great upsets of the competitive smash scene.
