LA'KAZ Invitational was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate invitational tournament held on January 22nd, 2022 in St. Paul, Réunion.
Format[edit]
The group phase was 4 groups of round-robin pools, all with best of 5 sets. The top two placing players in each pool would advance to Winners bracket, last place would advance to Losers bracket.
Tournament Summary[edit]
The event won was by ._. (1st seed). After winning both of their sets in group stage, 3-0, ._. proceeded to beat Dark-Thomy (10th seed) 3-1, Ninoctali (6th seed), and Zetromss (3rd seed) to reach Grand Finals.
Zetromss would meet ._. in Grand Finals, despite losing in Winners Finals. Zetromss defeated Sharky (11th seed) 3-1 and Ninoctali 3-2 in group stage. Zetromss then beat LuXejin (5th seed) 3-0, Cpaypay (2nd seed) 3-0 in the Winners Side and LuXejin 3-1 in Losers Finals. Zetromss won the runback against ._. 3-2, however ._. would ultimately prevail 3-2.
