There were a few upsets during the round robin pools, and as a result most players who were seeded to enter the final bracket did just that. The exception was {{Sm|Riddles}} who went 0-3 in his round robin, which includes losing to {{Sm|Bruho}}, and as such was eliminated at 13th. In addition, {{Sm|TM7_ZAP}}'s upset over {{Sm|crêpe salée}} meant crêpe salée had to begin in the losers side of the final bracket. Finally, LCQ winner {{Sm|Syrup}} defeated {{Sm|Lima}} to enter the winner's side of the final bracket.
The final bracket saw most {{SSBU|Steve}} players triumph over the {{SSBU|Sonic}} players, with the exception being crêpe salée who lost to {{Sm|Wrath}} to place 9th. This includes {{Sm|Onin}} defeating previous [[Tournament:The Coinbox IRL|Coinbox IRL]] winner {{Sm|Sonix}} 3-2, the first time Sonix had lost to a Steve player since he lost to {{Sm|DDee}} in Losers Finals at [https://www.start.gg/tournament/maji-game-night-96/details Magi Game Night 96], which took place over two years prior. Sonix was eventually eliminated by {{Sm|Shuton}} 2-3, the third time he had lost to Shuton that season. Shuton himself went on a lengthy Losers run after losing to {{Sm|Syrup}} in Winners Semi-Finals, defeating Sonix, {{Sm|Onin}} 3-2, and {{Sm|ShinyMark}} 3-1 to meet Syrup again in Grand Finals. Syrup himself made an incredible run despite only qualifying through the last chance qualifier, which includes winning his runback against ShinyMark from the round robins phase 3-2 using {{SSBU|Ness}}, the first time ShinyMark had lost to a Ness player at a ranked event.
