The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Template talk:SSB4-U stage table
8-Player Smash stages[edit]
Should we Italicize stages that are usable in 8 Player Smash for quick reference?
MarioIsTheBest (talk) 17:31, 9 November 2014 (EST)
- As there is a different set of stages for 5 and 6 player, no. Laikue (talk | contribs) 17:33, 9 November 2014 (EST)
Template is too big![edit]
Do I need to explain? The template is wider than the actual page, so I'm wondering if it's possible to make it fit.... I tried with rows with 5 stages wide, but there's 53 of them, so it ended up being too tall. ~ So sayeth SG9000 ~ (talk) 11:54, 30 September 2015 (EDT)
- It's gonna be bad for somebody no matter what. I just previewed a layout more like the 3DS version where it's 6 wide, which would leave the last row one short with 53. However, trying to use colspan stuff to cheat the bottom row into centering nicely wasn't working properly. Miles (talk) 12:15, 30 September 2015 (EDT)
- Well, rows that are 6 wide with a hole in the middle of the bottom row (which is what I did) seems to work well. ~ So sayeth SG9000 ~ (talk) 12:40, 30 September 2015 (EDT)
- What about Toomai's idea with the 3DS version of the table? ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 12:47, 30 September 2015 (EDT)
- The archive boxes? Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure if it'd look good alongside the other templates... ~ So sayeth SG9000 ~ (talk) 12:54, 30 September 2015 (EDT)

DLC distinction[edit]
The way the current template is set up, DLC stages have a "(DLC)" slapped on them. I personally find this a bit aggravating (and I know I'm not the only one feeling this way), so my proposition is to denote DLC stages with italics (since unlockables are bolded), and changing the other templates accordingly. - My only major concern is that it would cause inconsistency with {{SSB4 character table}}, which currently uses bold and bold italics to distinguish unlockability across the 3DS and Wii U versions; the templates like these are used pretty much one after the other. Miles (talk) 13:00, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
- Ok, so then make regular italics for DLC. Simple as that.

- That seems fine to me. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 15:41, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
- Someone stole my idea of using italics for DLC... Just kidding, but jokes asides, it won't be that simple to change it for characters; the source code is locked to anyone who's not an admin. That means only people like Miles can change the character table. I thought it'd be something worth saying before we all jump to the gun and do it. Nonetheless, I agree with the idea.

- I JUST GOT AN IDEA! The DLC stages are in their own page on both versions, right? Well, how about separating them in the templates too?

What about differently coloured backgrounds, like in Characters? Possibly even in other stage and character templates? --Menshay (talk) 15:25, 5 October 2015 (EDT)
