The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Mentioning previous appearances[edit]
Should we mention, or even list the games that costumes previously appeared in? It could look something like this for Bowser (plus the color column, but I don't know how to make that):
Color | Description | Previous Appearances |
---|---|---|
Default | ![]() ![]() | |
Black | ![]() ![]() | |
Yellow | Yellow body and dull yellow shell. Prior to the official release, it was shown with a purple shell, which resembled when Bowser is poisoned in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Also resembles the gold bowser statue from Super Mario World. | New |
Green | Based on an alternate costume in Mario Golf. Similar to Bowser's color in Super Mario World, in the DIC Entertainment cartoons and in the Nintendo Comics System series. | New |
Gray | Slightly resembles Dry Bowser and has a similar color scheme to Morton Koopa Jr.'s classic appearance. | ![]() |
Orange | Resembles the color scheme of Bowletta. Although her hair is actually red, she has pink horns matching the hair color. | New |
Red | Based on an alternate costume in Mario Golf. | ![]() ![]() |
Blue | Based on the color scheme of the fake Bowser in World 8-4 in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. | New |
What do you think? 72.15.80.185 17:09, 24 January 2015 (EST)
- Debatable. Some characters have costumes similar but not identical to old ones, so there'd inevitably be issues about how much they have to match. Can't tell if the benefits outweigh the hassle involved. Miles (talk) 17:15, 24 January 2015 (EST)
- Yeah I don't really see the benefit with this. I feel it veers into "who wants to know this" territory. Toomai Glittershine

- Well, I can see how it could be a bit tedious figuring out anything, but we do list what's returning from previous games and what's new for pretty much everything besides trophies, as far as I know. Would there be another place to put that information? 72.15.80.185 21:21, 24 January 2015 (EST)
