The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Talk:Next Level Games
The page[edit]
Considering that Little Mac wasn't created by this company, I wonder if it should be a separate page. If all developers of playable universe need separate pages, there seems to be a lot more.--Capstalker (talk) 04:42, June 20, 2019 (EDT)
- I figured it was notable enough, as Little Mac's depiction in Smash 4 and Ultimate is based entirely on the Wii installment of Punch-Out!!, and starting in Ultimate a good chunk of Luigi's depiction is based on their contributions to the Luigi's Mansion franchise. To me, it didn't feel right just putting them on the "minor universes" page. But I do understand that it's not exactly as major as Retro creating Dark Samus or 1-Up Studio creating Lucas, so if there's a motion to merge it as a minor company, I won't oppose. - I'm unsure, the company did not create characters but improved them, like Rare or Platinum for Donkey Kong or Fox, but both companies has got pages because of original characters. I don't know if there are any other examples.--Capstalker (talk) 11:34, June 20, 2019 (EDT)
Honestly I think that generally speaking, any company that is not on the title screen doesn't deserve its own page. An exception is warranted if they have partial ownership of a playable character (i.e. PlatinumGames with Bayonetta) and/or if they created a playable character before being acquired by their current parent company (both would apply to Rare Ltd., for example). Worth noting that Platinum and Rare are still credited separately in the credits list, but not in the title screen. 1-Up Studio, Next Level Games and Retro Studios don't own any playable character or IP, and in NLG's case they aren't even the original creators of any playable character. Otherwise we should create a page for like, Sonic Team, or even for Koei Temco just for having contributed with the development of FETH. --Rdrfc (talk) 11:53, January 19, 2020 (EST)
- I think I agree with this. I created this page following suit with 1-Up Studio and Retro, but if we keep going on this route then there won't be any end to it. Let's buckle down on this. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 15:36, January 22, 2020 (EST)
