MK down air[edit]

I'm having trouble finding out the hitboxes of this move. I can't be 100% sure which part is a semi-spike and which isn't. Have any ideas? I wanna get the semi-spike consistently, and it bugs me when I see them fly up instead of horizontally. AFAIK, the semi-spike hitbox takes priority over the non-semi-spike. I hope someone can give me the exact hitbox data.

Battle damage returns?[edit]

I've noticed that in some of the images, his armor seems dinged up and scratched, but in other images (including his official artwork), certain or all parts of his armor are undamaged. At first, I thought it was just the lighting, but the Marth and Ike image pretty clearly shines light on his right shoulder-armor without showing any scratches, and the damage on his helmet and foot armor is absent from every image except the Final Smash one. Is this the scrapped battle damage concept from Brawl making a return, or is it just the result of certain images being from earlier builds before they decided to add the scratches? In the somewhat recent Screen KO pic of the day, Little Mac has some battle damage of his own. Curious, very curious. ScizorSteelix 22:57, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

Down Special: Dimensional Cape[edit]

Does anyone else feel like the blurry, shaky "atmosphere" around Meta Knight as he slashes Mega Man is his warping attack, Dimensional Cape? I know it's not the quality of the image because Mega Man does not have this around him; it is only around Meta Knight.--Nintendo101 (talk) 21:46, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

See this. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 21:52, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

Side Special: Drill Rush[edit]

I don't think in that photo that has the caption: Drill Rush isn't actually Meta Knight using that move. When he uses that move, he has both hands on his sword. That's just Meta Knight using Shuttle Loop. The Smash Brotha (talk) 19:09, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

Compare it to this image; Meta Knight has one hand on the sword whilst using Drill Rush. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 19:17, 15 August 2014 (EDT)
Mistake fixed! But I just looked at the pic of the day and saw the similarities between the two photos. The Smash Brotha (talk) 19:18, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

Meta Knight's Down Smash Voice Clip[edit]

So, I've been meaning to bring this up, but I've never found the time to...

When Meta Knight performs his down smash, it sounds nothing like Eric Newsome; rather, it sounds like his Japanese VA.

I can't find the exact voice clip from Brawl, but the closest thing I can find is this. The voice clip in question I'm referring to, in Smash 4, is Clip 8.

Now, there's the chance I'm mistaken, but I don't remember the voice clip sounding like the way it does now. AidanzapunkSignaturesmall.PNGAidan the Aura Master 11:24, 20 February 2015 (EST)

If you have English Brawl handy, listen to Voice Clip 7 or 30 in the Sound Test for MK. I'm pretty one of those is his Dsmash clip in Smash 4. The equivilent clips in Japanese Brawl sound completely different, by the way. FirstaLasto 12:48, 20 February 2015 (EST)
It's in English Brawl, unused. Miles (talk) 14:08, 20 February 2015 (EST)
Yeah, that's clip 7 in English Brawl. FirstaLasto 14:26, 20 February 2015 (EST)

Meta Knight: Back Air Properties and Height[edit]

I'm new here. Please forgive any mistakes. First off, I've discovered that the second hit of MK's back air has a small spike, presumably to allow the third hit to strike. However, if the third hit is land-canceled, then the opponent will fall to the ground. This is a useful, surprising tactic. my question is: where do I put this information? Should I put it in the Moveset section, or in the Attributes section? It's a very specific strategical tactic, so I'm not sure.

Also, the second Paragraph of the attribute section says that Meta Knight is the only small character who wields a sword. However, Toon Link also wields a sword. While Toon Link is slightly taller than Meta Knight, the difference is only slight, and is nonexistent if one takes Meta Knight's frill/cape into account. So is it simply untrue that Meta Knight is the only small character that wields a sword? Or is 'small' a very specific category that does not include Toon Link? Uair combo[edit]

It works on roughly half the cast, mostly on floaties like Rosa, Luigi, Kirby, Olimar etc. A lot of players who main fast-fallers don't SDI, so they keep on getting hit by multiple uairs even though they should be able to escape. As long as people aren't SDI'ing, MK's will continue to land the combo. Leo, Ito, Jband, s2h, and Tyrant have all gotten away with it when they shouldn't have. So I'd say it's still very relevant at the moment.

Unofficial names at it again?[edit]

Hey. If you looked at some of the attacks in the list, there's a few names seem rather...fanmade. Is there any confirmation of Nintendo/HAL/Whatever confirming these names outside of Meta Knight's trophies? I need some confirmation, too. Falconpunch (talk) 23:52, 31 May 2016 (EDT)

If there is no indication that those names are used anywhere in the context of Smash, then they should be removed immediately. Otherwise, it sets a precedent for people just adding whatever names for moves they want. John John3637881 Signature.png PK SMAAAASH!! 00:02, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
Got it. Thanks for the information. If I see this again, I'm either reporting it to Miles of SmashWiki, or just deleting it myself. Falconpunch (talk) 00:18, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
