Merge?Edit

Oppose Despite it being most commonly related to Time, timed matches could also happen in Stock and Coin battle too. Therefore, despite the article's short size, its unique enough to have its own article. Dots (talk)   The Gold 15:33, 20 October 2015 (EDT)

Oppose. Saying the same as Dots here.  Pika, Wild Turkey appeared! Talk 15:55, 9 November 2015 (EST)
Neutral, VERY SLIGHTLY leaning towards support I don't think the wiki is losing anything major if we delete this article, and it's likely not going to be found by the casual reader. At the same time, though, there's no real reason to delete it. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by a turkey! Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 16:28, 9 November 2015 (EST)

Oppose per Dots and the fact that match timers are only really one element of a time match and only debatably the central focus.  Nyargleblargle (Talk | Contribs) 18:09, 11 November 2015 (EST)

Used in Time, Coin, Bonus, Stock, Classic, Special Orders, Events, shall I go on? Oppose. ScoreCounter 18:13, 11 November 2015 (EST)

Oppose for reasons already stated above (namely, it's used in other modes aside from Time Mode).  Tepig (talk) 16:02, 17 November 2015 (EST)

X:XX:XX.XX in SSB4Edit

That's not true. --  BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 18:05, 22 March 2016 (EDT)

I don't think it means it actually reads as Xs, I think it's mentioning that because IIRC, no other Smash game lists hours. Disaster Flare   (talk) 18:06, 22 March 2016 (EDT)
Oh, my mistake then. Still, it is bad worded. --  BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 18:07, 22 March 2016 (EDT)
Also not interesting... Serpent   King 18:08, 22 March 2016 (EDT)

Aren't those hundredths of a second, not milliseconds?Edit

At least in Melee, I'm quite certain the timer is not showing milliseconds. Milliseconds are thousandths of a second. I'm pretty certain the timer is showing hundredths of a second.

If the timer were showing milliseconds, they would be counting by a LOT faster (one frame at 60 FPS is 16.67 milliseconds) and there would be three digits instead of two.

I was going to just edit the article, but figured I would do a sanity check first to ensure that I'm not just crazy and that I'm actually right about this. 98.45.141.98 15:36, March 21, 2025 (EDT)

You're correct that centiseconds would be more accurate. Milliseconds is much more common so people likely default to that with anything smaller than a second. I went ahead and changed it. --CanvasK (talk) 15:56, March 21, 2025 (EDT)
