Regarding Lip's latest non-Smash appearance title, should it be titled Puzzle League Express or Chotto Panel de Pon?[edit]
Lip's latest non-smash appearance is Puzzle League Express, but she only appears in the Japanese version of the game which is called Chotto Panel de Pon. If you place a Japanese flag right next to Puzzle League Express then it might misguide people to think that Puzzle League Express was only released in Japan even though the game was also released in other regions but without Lip's Stage. Would Chotto Panel de Pon have to be listed instead as her latest non-Smash appearance? --MinorEdits (talk) 15:56, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
- If the same game appeared outside of Japan, and she appeared only in the Japanese version, then I would assume it'd be Puzzle League Express (Japanese ver). I'm pretty sure some characters have had (cameo) next to their latest non-Smash appearance sometimes to specify. I could be wrong though. Wolff (talk) 20:09, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
- Wouldn't it be like putting a Japanese flag over "Tetris Attack" because the fairies was replaced overseas, unless you'd argue that Smash considers it as a separate entity but the game had a few errors such as the Lip's Stick appearing in the game for the PAL release of Wii U along with the Lip's Stick trophy unlcoking TA in the Chronicle. TA was released in Japan so technically the Japanese version of TA is BS Yoshi no Panepon.--MinorEdits (talk) 20:41, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
- Would Lip's outfit appearing in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo count as an appearance? If not, I'd say go with Chotto Panel de Pon and the Japanese flag. This is a special case, but you're right about the English name being misleading. DryKirby64 (talk) 20:55, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
- It is only the clothing of Lip that appears in the game, not the character herself. If it was considered an appearance for her, then people wouldn't have believed that Lip is a Japan-only character and would not be like "who is she?". Maybe I should change Planet Puzzle League to Panel de Pon DS, and Puzzle League Express to Chotto Panel de Pon in the trivia since its essentially misleading similar to the latest non-smash appearance issue. I would then just mention that the English title/Puzzle League versions of the game disables access to her stage without a cheating device.--MinorEdits (talk) 21:39, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
- Takamaru has a page where his latest Smash appearance says referenced, so I will be using the suggestion for the user who has said Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo since "Fairy Flower" is part of her name in the Panel de Pon series and it's clear that the outfit was not based on Furil, a similar but distinct looking character.--MinorEdits (talk) 17:33, 5 November 2018 (EST)
