Talk:Infinite (disambiguation)
Merge?[edit]
Well this is another hard decision I can't make my mind on. What do you guys say? In for considering Infinites (except for the IDC obviously) as protentially zero-to-death combos or Infinites are notable enough to have their own article? Dots (talk) The Pokémon 12:48, 2 January 2014 (EST)
Merge Looks too much like a subsection to be an article. RoyboyX Talk 12:51, 2 January 2014 (EST)
It isn't enough to warrant its own article, but I don't think it should be merged. Infinite can count as both a series of attacks and a glitch, while the latter doesn't match with what zero-deaths are. Scr7(talk · contribs) 13:01, 2 January 2014 (EST)
Merge Essentially used the same way in gameplay and it would be better if the list of zero-deaths and infinites were on the same page. Also, there's nothing about an infinite being a glitch in the article. Awesome Cardinal 2000 19:12, 2 January 2014 (EST)
- The article says an infinite can be maintained via skill (consistent attacks) or as a glitch. Scr7(talk · contribs) 19:18, 2 January 2014 (EST)
Keep I'm with Scr7 on this one. An infinite could also be in the form of such as the said Infinite Dimension Cape or Infinite recovery if any character has one. Dots (talk) The Wolf 22:36, 2 January 2014 (EST)
Anyone else want to say something about this? Dots (talk) The Blue 10:35, 4 January 2014 (EST)
Keep Im with Scr7 as well. --TheLegendaryKRB (talk) 11:36, 7 January 2014 (EST)
Keep A zero-to-death and an infinite are different terms used for different things. Ryxis (talk) 21:02, 9 January 2014 (EST)
Keep Two different terms, two different articles. "Almost the same technique". "Almost" is a key word. Just because it is used interchangeably doesn't mean it's correct. "Million" and "billion" are used interchangeably, even if the differences between the two is a thousand times. Also, "infinite" can refer to many other things, so in the end, a merge isn't necessary. What's the glitch part of the infinite? The page doesn't mention anything about it, or provide any examples, nor have I ever heard anything about it. Wobbling may be a glitch, but that doesn't mean that an infinite is a glitch. What else does infinite refer to besides a combo that can be continued forever? Awesome Cardinal 2000 20:28, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Infinite and zero-death are not used interchangeably and similarly in just speaking and writing, they're used the same way in gameplay. The disambiguation should have bullet points with the definition "a combo that can be continued forever" (such as Wobbling), along with a link to a subsection in zero-death, and stuff that aren't actual infinites but can be used indefinitely (such as the IDC and the rapid jab).
