Golden Hammers[edit]

How many are available to unlock a challenge? radical00edward 03:16, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

You can get a total of 5. Any challenge window with a golden hammer in it will grant you one upon its completion. GreenLiquid 19:05, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Unbreakable?[edit]

What challenges are unbreakable via Golden Hammers? Should those be italicized in the list or something? --Phred 04:14, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure but i think they are the Boss Battles Challenges, the Masterpieces Challenges and the Stages Challenges - Kaz (TalkContributions ) 04:19, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Someone should find out for sure which ones are unbreakable and make a list of them please. I'm trying to save my hammers for the more dificult challenges, but if I end up unable to use them it'll suck :( 99.159.101.27 10:17, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Are there really unbreakable places? I've completed my challenges (using golden hammers), and I never saw that. Do the hammers break if the thing was unbreakable? Also, I might of interpreted wrong, but I've gotten a few stages with a golden hammer (75m and I think Temple) UberPhoeba b c 14:13, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Golden Hammer[edit]

How do you use a golden hammer? I've been trying to figure this out for a while.... --GDawg816- "Sonic's the name, speed's my game!" (talk) 14:09, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Hit A (on most controllers) on the hammer, and move it to the space you want to break it (I use it in a generally empty area mostly), then hit A, its simple! --UberPhoeba b c 14:14, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok thanks I'll try it. Hey, you're another Sonic user! Yeah! Sonic FTW! --GDawg816- "Sonic's the name, speed's my game!" (talk) 14:20, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Limit[edit]

Is there a limit for how many Golden Hammers you can get?

Duh, there's only five in the game. You can see their silhouettes as soon as the box turns red. - Gargomon251 (talk) 23:30, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Move to Challenges?[edit]

I think the Challenges Menu itself deserves the title of this article more than the individual challenges set by it. The article describes the challenges menu more than the general challenges anyway. Anyone else agree? Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumTransparent Swadloon.png 15:49, 31 January 2013 (EST)

I kind of disagree, mostly since this idea occured to me recently: Split the page into "Challenges" (the menu) and "List of challenges (SSBB)". This separates menu from contents and future-proofs for "List of challenges (SSB4)". Toomai Glittershine ??? The Undirigible 10:24, 3 February 2013 (EST)
I support Toomai's idea. BlueRidiculous 14:19, 2 April 2013 (EDT)
Split If there is a challenge menu in SSB4 as well. Dots MewtwoMS.png The Saxaphone 22:13, 10 April 2013 (EDT)
I don't know yet. What if Challenges aren't in SSB4 and we future-proof it for nothing? --RoyboyX Talk 22:17, 10 April 2013 (EDT)
Well, it's not a bad idea, and maybe even if this doesn't go into SSB4 we can still have the list on its own. Split. --RoyboyX Talk 22:21, 10 April 2013 (EDT)
Neutral, as I'm unsure if SSB4 will have challenges.--Starman125 (talk) 22:40, 10 April 2013 (EDT)
Split. Even if SSB4 doesn't have challenges, I still think this has enough to be on its own page. And SSB4 will probably have challenges, because that's basically the new feature that displays unlockables. In Melee, they just told you "You got the xxxxxx trophy", but they changed that in Brawl to have a display of all the unlockables to make it easier to access. So I think that will stay. Split. As AC2K said, we should still have a separate page even if SSB4 won't have challenges. Terrible is April Showers 17:47, 11 April 2013 (EDT)
Move As Challenges is the actual name of the menu itself, it should be moved. Awesome Cardinal 2000 13:08, 13 April 2013 (EDT)
