The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Clarinet Hawk, why did you remove that? I think it explains a lot. Malefix (talk) 19:12, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Planking vs ledgestalling[edit]

this article makes it seem like planking is brawl exclusive(an issue that appears in several articles). planking is available in all the games, although i believe it is usually called ledge-stalling in melee(i have never heard it called planking in melee, though i understand the need for a universal term and it makes sense to use most popular term).

the latest revision of this page removed a lot of info about planking in melee. while it may be more effective in brawl, it does exists in every game.DJLO (talk) 15:49, 26 September 2013 (EDT)

"A lot of information" was not removed; what was removed was a short paragraph with information that was essentially a rehash of what was stated before on what kind of moves aid in planking, which is universal to all games. This prior sentence here "though having access to a fast attack that produces a large hitbox to protect the character, and being able to regrab the ledge quickly, are attributes that strengthen a character's planking ability" covers what that paragraph did. Why is Link in the see also section?[edit]

Why is he though? I can't really find very many instances of him being mentioned on this page, and I think Snake is a much campier fighter than Link is. Anyone with reasons, please fill me in. :D

I can't speak on behalf of whoever did it, but it seems an anonymous user added it in. Sometimes they just like to do that... TurquoiseJ (talk) 22:22, January 4, 2020 (EST)
