The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Campaign for Iwata[edit]

I think we should mention the campaign to add Balloon Fighter to Smash as a tribute to Iwata somewhere on here. 75.141.44.151 16:48, 15 July 2015 (EDT)

Generally we don't report on that kind of stuff unless it reaches mass widespread status, and even then I wouldn't personally find it notable. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Jiggy 16:51, 15 July 2015 (EDT)

Adding Game & Watch game to franchise description?[edit]

Should we add a mention of the 1986 Game & Watch game Balloon Fight to the franchise description section of the page? It’s got the same name as the NES game and is clearly based on the Balloon Trip mode from it, but the characters and setting are different and there’s no proper confirmation that it’s part of this series (unsurprising, as it’s a later G&W and so wasn’t released in Japan). It’s not as clear-cut on this question as, say, the Super Mario Bros. G&W, but it has more of a case than Climber, which resembles Ice Climber in gameplay but doesn’t feature ice or share the name. I’d like to add it if people think it fits so I was hoping to hear some thoughts. Pk62001 (talk) 16:15, October 26, 2022 (EDT)
