The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |
Check out our project page for ongoing projects that SmashWiki needs help with. |

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, various situations can cause some things to be disabled.
Stage restrictions
Certain stages prevent certain items, Assist Trophies, or Poké Ball Pokémon from appearing. Sometimes this is a reference to something (e.g. Alucard not appearing on Wii Fit Studio because vampires don't have reflections in mirrors), technical issues (e.g. Hotheads and Bombchus not pathing properly because of moving surfaces), or to prevent unfair scenarios (e.g. Nikki's drawings being hard to see on dark backgrounds).
Items
- See /ItemStage for a table.
Assist Trophies
- See /AssistStage for a table.
Poké Balls
- See /PokeStage for a table.
Conflicts
Some items, Assist Trophies, or Poké Ball Pokémon can restrict other items, Assist Trophies, or Poké Ball Pokémon from appearing. Sometimes this is because their effects overlap (e.g. Devil and Squid Sisters manipulate the camera, but in different ways) or to prevent unfair scenarios (e.g. Victini granting a Final Smash to someone while Togepi darkens the screen).
Items
- Only 1 of the following can spawn at a time: Smash Ball, Sandbag, Boss Galaga, Cucco. They can all exist at the same time, but there will only ever be one of that item.
- Smash Balls will prevent Black Holes from spawning. All currently spawned and active Black Holes will be deleted when a Final Smash is used.
- Smash Balls will prevent the third Dragoon/Daybreak Part from spawning. A third Dragoon/Daybreak Part will prevent the third Daybreak/Dragoon Part and Smash Balls from spawning.
- Any currently spawned Dragoon/Daybreak Parts will disappear when a Smash Ball spawns.
- In Training, if a floating Smash Ball is spawned, disappears (either over time or reset), Parts are spawned, and then a Smash Ball, there can be a rolling Smash Ball that co-exists with Parts
- If this is performed with a rolling Smash Ball that disappears, then Parts spawned will be overwritten by a new spawned Smash Ball and vice versa. This effect persists until a floating Smash Ball is made to spawn.
- In Training with 1 Frame speed, spawning a Smash Ball and then a Part without advancing the frame will cause the "not allowed" sound to play on loop (even if the menu is closed) and prevent any other item from spawning. Advancing the frame (via the frame advance button or spawning a CPU) will override the Smash Ball with the Part and return everything to normal.
- A third Dragoon/Daybreak Part will prevent Boss Galaga from spawning. Boss Galaga will prevent a third Dragoon Part from spawning, but not a third Daybreak Part.
Assist Trophies
Most Assist Trophies can spawn with other Assist Trophies (other than themselves), however Assist Trophies that either manipulate the camera, have full-screen effects, or operate at the camera edges usually prevent each other from spawning. Below is a table of every Assist Trophy that conflicts with another; any that aren't listed have no conflicts.

Poké Balls
Togepi, Palkia, Victini, and Zoroark can not appear at the same time. All other Poké Ball Pokémon can appear with others, excluding themselves.
Assist Trophy/Poké Ball
A combination of the two prior sections. Similar conflicts exist between the two, such as camera manipulation and full-screen effects. Below is a table of every Assist Trophy that conflicts with a Poké Ball Pokémon and vice versa; any that aren't listed have no conflicts.

Assist Trophy/Item
Poké Ball/Item
Togepi, Palkia, and Zoroark cannot spawn along side Smash Balls or Boss Galaga and vice versa. Victini can appear along side Boss Galaga, but not Smash Balls and vice versa.
Other conflicts
Things that aren't items, Assist Trophies, or Poké Balls that are restricted when certain Assist Trophies, Poké Balls, or other items appear.
