Kihunter	Enemy		500 G; 10	Creatures hailing from the Metroid series. They start off life as a Zero, growing into this bee-like form. Kihunters prefer to attack with quick dashes and by spitting gobs of acid. Definitely dodge the acid— it stuns you and goes through shields. Defeated Kihunters drop Jump stat boosts. These insectoids from the Metroid series emerge from their larval form known as a Zero. Kihunters attack by either charging at you from above or spitting acid. That acid can paralyse you, and it'll even cut through your shield, so dodge to avoid getting hit. If you defeat a Kihunter, you'll get Jump stat boosts for your troubles.

Samus held him in high regard, considering him one of the few people to really understand her. Unfortunately, Adam gave his life during the mission, saving Samus in the process. Trivia

• With the complete absence of a trophy or even a reference in a trophy description, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is the first installment to not have Ridley appear in any capacity.
• Although Adam Malkovich's only listed appearance is 2010's Metroid: Other M, he previously appeared as the artificial intelligence of Samus's operating system in 2002's Metroid Fusion.
• The Gunship (Zero Suit Samus) trophy is the only Final Smash trophy that specifies a character without being a shared Final Smash; in this case, it's used to distinguish from the standard Gunship trophy.
• The Samus (Varia Suit)'s description in the NTSC version of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS references the "y cant metroid^[sic] crawl" meme, which originated as a post from Miiverse.
