This discussion is in regards to a proposed change on SmashWiki. The discussion must first meet with a consensus before it is implemented.

I think we need a template that shows when a bug was created, as there are a few instances of this occurring, and using change or bugfix templates just doesn't work very well. Alex the Jigglypuff trainer 08:25, March 24, 2019 (EDT)

Using the bugfix template makes little sense because it's the complete opposite, and there are actually several cases of bugs/glitches being created for returning elements in new games (for example, the Flight of Ganon glitch, or Yoshi's grab in Brawl crashing the game if escaped too early), which aren't the same as intentional changes, so I agree this template is necessary. The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.
