- Smasher pages are only for people who make a difference in the Smash community. Not for just any Super Smash Bros players. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) 22:20, 9 March 2014 (EDT)
- Apparently, Umbra played in the Japanese-style SSB64 tournament, which featured top 64 players like Zenyore, and got 9th place overall. Whether this is considered notable or not is disputable (considering he hasn't entered any other major tournaments),
but with that result it seems ok by me. --Timson622222 (talk) 22:27, 9 March 2014 (EDT)- Link to this tourney result? And how many entrants were there, and who did he beat/place above? Omega Tyrant 22:34, 9 March 2014 (EDT)
- I found the link posted on the article: Japanese Style SSB64 Tourney. Another thing I'm questioning here is whether there were more entrants and he got 9th, or whether there were only 16 entrants and he tied for last ("9th"). There is still no information about bigger tournaments (or even other tournaments in general). --Timson622222 (talk) 22:37, 9 March 2014 (EDT)
- I've only played in the one tournament tied for last (9th) here is the bracket [1]UmbraNoti (talk) 22:42, 9 March 2014 (EDT)
- So you got last place in a single-elimination bracket? I don't think that's very notable. If it were 9th out of 64, even 32 entrants, I would be more impressed. --Timson622222 (talk) 22:44, 9 March 2014 (EDT)
- The notability guidelines say they need some kind of regional or national recognition for a tournament smasher to be notable, so no, that's not notable by our guidelines. Also the skill being listed as "Amateur" is a pretty big clue to the lack of notability as well. DoctorPain99 22:56, 9 March 2014 (EDT)
- Yeah you're going to need more than that dude. That tourney is a bare minimum level tournament to begin with, and your only tourney result being a last place finish in that isn't anything remotely notable. Unless you can provide something else that proves notability, this page is getting deleted. Also, link to images on talk pages, instead of posting them directly on here. Remade the page[edit]
He's become much more notable now. --PPS KoRo, King of Smash 64 Knowledge, and bad grammar....and bad puns (talk) 15:32, 5 May 2015 (EDT)
