Deletion[edit]
I don't know if SW:NOTE protects this article from deletion, but if he was formerly ranked before, I believe he deserves a page. If we were to have smashers be relevant to today as the requirement for notability, many smasher pages would be questioned for continued notability. Eletro (talk) 20:24, June 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Agreed, he was on multiple seasons of his pr, and the missing results is just an unfortunate reality of a lot of players from that period. This page was already tagged for deletion once and had the tag removed, so I don't know why it got retagged. Jaydyndm (talk) 01:53, June 18, 2019 (EDT)
- My very late argument is that he has absolutely no results that I can find. Additionally, although he was a former PR, he hasn't made another PR since April 2011 and hasn't even been heard from since. Finally, even if all of those can still be considered "notable", this page is borderline no effort. If anyone can find some results for this smasher, I believe he/she can stay. - Your entire argument can basically be summed up in 2 examples from the "Bad deletion candidates" section of SW:DELETE: "Smasher articles with no tournament results. If a smasher article has a PR ranking, but no tournament results, then the results should be retrieved." and "Articles whose topic is no longer relevant. SmashWiki uses a "once notable, always notable" policy when assessing content, and articles on old content can serve as an important archive for historical purposes. For example, while the competitive Brawl scene has virtually died out, articles on its history and players will continue to be preserved." It feels like your standards for notability are completely different than smashwikis policy. Jaydyn (talk) 17:17, July 11, 2019 (EDT)
