Notability[edit]

I probably don't have a good opinion on this one. While it's true that the original tagger claims that the smasher has no top 8 placements, a 9th / 37 going 4-2 isn't bad and there's also a seemingly good 17th / 113 at an online tourney. But then again everything else does seem mediocre or inconsistent... Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? NaughtyPigBoi.jpg 06:15, February 14, 2024 (EST)

Yeah, Dunkel is pretty inconsistent, and most of their results are 3-2, 2-2 and 1-2, but he does have some impressive wins while being the best solo Inkling alongside Kaizen. If I'm not mistaken, he also has Offline wins against international players, bkt I need to make some reaserch on that. Also is worth mentioning that alongside Buzzard, he is the best player from the South of Argentina.
But I understand why he is marked for deletion based on Placements alone. -- Tacho99 (talk) 07:44, February 14th, 2024 (EDT)
I don't think that being the best "something"/"somewhere" automatically grants you notability, and this player has mid level results at best : Having your best tournament be a 4-2 local isnt really impressive at all. I couldn't find any high level wins on international players.Graou (talk) 06:28, February 15, 2024 (EST)
Unfortunately I have to disagree with ur metric here. While it's true that this player might be more questionable and inconsistent, if a player constantly goes 4-2 in their region they wouldn't be too bad by any means and if they can pick up a decent amount of good wins in their regions too that's still regional recognition by standard. Not every regional player has the ability to travel for international performances. And not to mention that you baselessly claimed a pretty alright player as questionable before with this philosophy of yours. I believe that sometimes it might be true that these "best" claims are a lil exaggerated but that wouldn't automatically disqualify somebody from having a page. Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? I'd agree if it was constant 4-2, but like this guy goes 2-2/1-2 at nearly every tournament i've checked bro (also 0-2 sometimes). Yeah I may have made a mistake, and at the end of the day I don't have a say in these decisions, but it seems weird to include a player with less than 50% of wr :/ Graou (talk) 17:37, February 15, 2024 (EST)
