It was known to be the longest running and among the most prestigious online tournament series in Japan along with Maesuma where the total number of participants had exceeded 150,000 for Tamisuma. The series had ultimately ended at its 568th iteration for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Besides the usual singles format, there were also popular "Gaiden" brackets that include "Heavyweights only", "No use of the same character", and "Amateur cup"/"Semi-pro cup" similar to an Arcadian format.
