The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Biography[edit]
Origin of the name[edit]
Mellow created his tag with Melee player Nero while considering all posibilities for a name. Nero thought Mellow should have a silly name following in other popular Melee player's footsteps. Nero came up with the name "MarshmelloSamurai"; Mellow decided to take the "mello" and extend it into "Mellow" to fit his personality.
Playing style[edit]
Mellow is seen as a semi-technical player who tends to have a more aggressive playstyle.
However, Mellow has a worse neutral game compared to his punish game. A common misconception is that Mellow is a very aggressive player, no matter who he is playing. However, in certain scenarios, he takes a much slower approach to the neutral game, spacing up tilts and back aerials to try to catch his opponent to then exploit his superior punish game, rather than directly applying pressure. This approach, combined with him not utilizing Falco's Blaster as well as other Falcos, often leads to his opponent controlling the pace of the match if he cannot get an opening.
