PGStats.com
PGStats.com is a Smash Bros. website originally created by PGStats, a subsidary of Panda. It was announced and launched in closed beta on November 13th, 2020,[1] and was officially released into open beta on February 25th, 2021.
The website mainly serves as a database which documents player data and tournament results for both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In addition, members of Panda regularly published articles that discuss various topics in the Smash community.
Following Panda's initial collapse, the future of PGStats.com became uncertain and the website became largely inactive, save for the database which remained active. Although the website's shutdown was initially announced on December 4th, 2023, this decision was reversed due to support and funding from the community.[2] The creator of PGStats.com went on to help create smashers.app, which serves as a spiritual successor to PGStats.com.

Articles[edit]
Panda staff member often publish articles on PGStats.com discussing events surrounding the Smash community. The most common article published were summaries that discussed the weekend's tournament summary, highlighting the winners of Ultimate events with 50 or more entrants following DQs. In addition, articles on PGR rankings are also published, which include details and FAQs on the rankings and the results of the rankings. Other articles include recaps on major and supermajor tournaments and highlights to rising stars and hidden bosses.
Notably, PGStats.com was where the concepts of seed performance ratings (SPR) and upset factors (UF) was first introduced.[3]
Players[edit]
The main feature of the website is its player database for Melee, Ultimate, and Guilty Gear Strive, which reported a player's overall performance throughout their careers in their respective game. The left side of the screen shows a frozen section that showcases the player's mains and secondaries, country, most recent PGR rank, win rate, win-loss ratio, and social media. The main database has several sections: Characters, which focuses on a player's character data and matchups; Charts and Graphs, which graphs a player's performance in either the last 120 events or their entire career; Tournaments, which reports their tournament performances; and Head-to-Head Comparisons, which reports a player's record against other players. Finally, the database may also feature a biography and badges at the top of the page depending on how well-known and successful the player is, and the player's latest tournament VODs are also present if available.
Players with a PGStats.com account may claim their profile, allowing them to resync their profile with Start.gg and change some of their information, including tag, location, and social media.
Rankings[edit]
The rankings section reported the latest ranking released by Panda for Melee and Ultimate. The latest rankings reported were the MPGR 2019 and the Fall 2019 PGRU.
VODs[edit]
Aside from being used for player data, tournament VODs are also searchable and viewable on the website. Clicking on a VOD opens up a page with a YouTube video of the set, with the results of the set reported below.
