The Mr. Saturn also appears as a [[summon]]-exclusive [[spirit]] requiring the cores of {{h2|List of spirits (Kid Icarus series)|Specknose}} and {{h2|List of spirits (Others)|Qbby}}. In turn it can be used with six Defense cores to summon the {{h2|List of spirits (EarthBound series)|Absolutely Safe Capsule}}.

*Mr. Saturn is one of the only items that can't be [[eaten]], likely because they are living beings.

*A small Mr. Saturn [http://earthboundcentral.com/2009/10/hidden-mr-saturn-sprite-in-brawl/ sprite] is hidden in the texture of the {{b|Metroid|creature}} Assist Trophy from ''Brawl''. It cannot be seen in-game.

*In Smash 4, a Mr. Saturn thrown at a grounded opponent will sometimes have a meteor effect, though this doesn't occur until they are at 200% damage.

**Of these, Mr. Saturn is the only one to be an item, as well as the only one to appear in the box art and {{SSBU|Classic Mode}} mural.
