This is a list of official merchandise released to promote the Super Smash Bros. series. This list includes all officially licensed products that bare the Super Smash Bros. branding other than the games themselves. Most of these products were given away in limited quantities at special events, but some are sold on Nintendo's website or through other means.

Donkey Kong plush: While released as part of the Nintendo Collectibles line and not for Super Smash Bros., the plush was used as part of the promotional Slamfest event, gaining an additional tag to advertise it and the game.

Team Lightning diecast cars: Toy cars in a similar vein to Hot Wheels. Came in two variants.

Nintendo All-Star! Dairantō Smash Brothers OST: The official soundtrack for Super Smash Bros., released only in Japan.

Mitsubishi Stationary, Office Supplies, and Origami: Produced by Mitsubishi in 1999 to promote the release of Super Smash Bros., the supplies included pencil sharpeners, pencils, glue, stationary, pencil cases, and origami.

Prerelease bandanna: A bandanna given out at several Japanese retailers in prerelease Melee tournaments.

Postcards: Various postcards given out at Melee tournaments in Japan.

Game Taikai Yuushou Kinen - Tokusei SmaBro DX Movie Disc A special gold-colored GameCube disc handed out to finalists of the Japanese Toys "R" Us tournaments held in 2002, containing various videos of the game. Pin badges: Japan Railways held a stamp collecting contest shortly after the release of Melee. Upon collecting them all, one was given a random pin badge between Mario, Kirby, Pikachu, and Link.

Obento box: Alongside the pin badges, all people who collected every stamp were given a chance to win a free Melee obento box.

Super Smash Bros. Battle Cards: Collectible cards that came free with an issue of Official Nintendo Magazine. Included all characters and nearly all stages.

Crystal Icing Wii: The grand finals winner of Super Smash Bros. Brawl American Circuit received a Swarovski crystal-encrusted Wii produced by Crystal Icing with a special Brawl design. The Wii's estimated value was $4,000 and had appeared in an auction later in 2013 with $20,000 as the starting bid.[1] However, the auction ultimately ended with zero offers, and the console's current whereabouts are unknown.[2]

Super Smash Bros. themes[edit]
The Theme Shop, introduced in Nintendo 3DS hardware version 9.0, allowed for purchase of various home menu themes. Four themes related to Super Smash Bros. 4 were made available, each coming with appropriate music. The shutdown of the Nintendo 3DS eshop on May 27, 2023 means it is no longer possible to legally purchase these themes.

- Masahiro Sakurai made a comment in a YouTube video about merchandise for the Smash series, stating that such a practice is generally prohibited outside of free giveaways and limited edition items, and that the only real exception to this rule has been amiibo.[3]
