On the [[character selection screen]], when Luigi is unlocked he appears after {{SSBM|Mario}} and joins the rest of the Mario characters (counting Mario sub universe characters). {{SSBM|Pikachu}} (despite appearing after Mario from the start of the game) moves to the bottom row and joins the rest of the [[Pokemon]].
