It is a full, three-verse song with Japanese lyrics, and was performed by an anonymous band credited as "{{s|pikipedia|Strawberry Flower}}". The translated title, "Song of Love", is somewhat ironic; the song's lyrics concern the {{b|Pikmin|species}}'s plight in being used as pawns for [[Captain Olimar]], mentioning that they won't ask to be loved regardless. The song can be sung by 20 of each Pikmin (red, blue, yellow, white, purple) in ''Pikmin 2''.

This track could be considered a completely original creation for ''Brawl'', as it is a recording of ambient noises that would typically occur in a forest or jungle environment, including rustling leaves, the snapping of twigs, animal calls, cricket chirps and bird songs. *Both versions of "Ai No Uta" and "Tane No Uta" are owned by an organization rather than the owner of the IPs. This trait is shared with the music from ''Sonic the Hedgehog'', ''Sonic the Hedgehog 2'' as well as "{{SSBBMusicLink|Kirby|Checker Knights}}", and later, ''Xenoblade Chronicles 2'', the ''Culdcept'' series, ''Soma Bringer'', ''Style Savvy: Styling Star'', and ''Dragon Quest'' series.
