The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Uniform Stock Icons[edit]
SmashWiki uses stock icons to denote a fighter. But it seems a little jarring and non-uniform to use the icons from all five games, as the style changes drastically. I think, in an effort of style, Ultimate's stock icons should be used for all fighters when referenced outside of their pages (As some costumes got replaced). For example, Fox (SSBM) would use Melee's icons only on that specific page. All other pages would use Ultimate's icons, to make the wiki look more uniform.
I'm new to this wiki, but I feel we should be doing some things to make sure this wiki looks good. One Blue Hat (talk) 18:18, August 16, 2019 (EDT)
- This is effectively the policy we already have. Game-specific stock icons are only used when referencing the game they come from; see air dodge as an example. In other cases where a character is being referenced across the series in general, such as Super Smash Bros. (series), the latest stock icons (i.e. Ultimate) are used. If you see something that doesn't follow these guidelines, feel free to change it. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 18:32, August 16, 2019 (EDT)
