I'm going to hold a poll to see what people think of Gamefaqs' current tier list for Brawl. I'd like for you to state whether you agree or disagree with it. Well, I found a link to it. Hmmmmmmmm.... Ugh. This thing is far from perfect. Why are Toon Link, Lucas, Captian Falcon, Pkmn trainer, and Mario so low? Why is Ike so low? Olimar is a little high... I'd move Lucario and Wario down a little... I could go on and on like this, but I'll just strongly disagree with it. Maxiscool (talk) 15:50, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

I honestly don't understand what they were thinking, so much of it is so wrong in my opinion.They put Snake as number 1 right?I admit he's a good character but top?Snake is easily aerial combo'd into death plus he may have the most projectiles in the game but none of them are diverse or exceptional.I disagree with most of them bottom tiers so I'll put disagree. Gamefaqs = a bunch of hooligans who know even less about smash than we do. It goes Smashboards - Wiki - Gamefaqs in terms of authority. There is no official tier list now, and there will not be an official tier list for a long time, and there may not ever be a concrete tier list. In a gigantic addition, tier lists at this point, like the official SLAPAHO tier list, are more for 'We Called It!' than 'This is it, and We Condemn Anyone Who Disagrees' Semicolon (talk) 20:57, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree with both of you. Snake is ANYTHING but the best. An upper middler, sure, but nothing more. Judging from how they formed their tier list, I'd have to say that the members of Gamefaqs ARE hooligans (Mew2King being the only exception). The way I formed my tier list is somewhat simplistic. I basically took every character's advantages, disadvantages, and standing in the meta game into consideration. I then compared all these and gave every character an overall score ranging from 1 to 10. If two or more characters tied with the same score, I'd then place them in situational match-ups to determine who would have the winning edge in a standard match. After all this research, my personal tier list was the result, and it has since gone under six revisions. Gamefaqs basically said, "Alright, some random guy is good with Snake and he has the most projectiles, so I'd say he's the best!" God knows how they came up with every other character's ranking, but they managed to finish a, in my opinion, terrible tier list.
