The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Forum:Slower Game Engine
Is it true that Brawl has a slower game engine than Melee? Honestly, I think they flow at the same speed, but I have noticed that fast-fallers like Fox and Falco are a bit more floaty now. However, there was plenty of floatiness in Melee as well, so what's the truth? - GalaxiaD 00:48, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- I doubt the engine's slower; I would presume that the characters themselves were programmed to be slower. --Sky (t · c · w) 03:38, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
actually, it is a bit slower. sakurai said so in an interview with nintendo power. he said he wanted to emphasize a litlle more on the midair battle perspective than in previous games. PeetzaLink 18:58, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah it is slower. And yes Sakurai did say in the Interview with Nintendo Power (sick magazine should subscribe if you aren't). It took me about a week to get used to the speed changes. Bothered me alot. However, I like it now!L0ZE 21:17, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Notice that when you switch between characters as say Zelda, the Wii start loading kind of loud, and it takes alot longer than in melee.SmashingJohn (talk) 00:30, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Sakurai warned of something like that on the DOJO!! He said that if you change a character's costume or form, then the loading time would increase. I don't know why that is, but it's completely normal. Nothing is wrong with your Wii if that's what you're wondering. - GalaxiaD (talk) 04:19, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
