The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Forums: Index Proposals Organizing the list of Spirits

Just like trophies and stickers, we'll probably want to list all the different primary, support, and fighter (which is apparently a thing) spirits somewhere. My question is: How do we organize them? Here's a few different options I've come up with:

1a. Split the list of spirits by series as we do with trophies.

1b. Keep all the spirits (or all the spirits of each type) on a single page.

1c. Offer both a complete list and separate pages for each series as we do with stickers.

---

2a. List all primary spirits, secondary spirits, and fighter spirits on one page and table

2b. Separate the primary, secondary, and fighter spirits into their own sections, but leave them on the same page

2c. Separate the primary, secondary, and fighter spirits into their own pages or series of pages

---

3a. Integrate the spirit artwork into the tables like with trophies.

3b. Have galleries of the artwork separate from the main tables like with stickers.

Thoughts on this? I don't have any strong opinions (though I did draft up a template for 3a here); I just want to see what you guys think and whether there are any other issues to resolve before launch. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 16:37, 1 November 2018 (EDT)

1a is my preference. I'm imagining something along the lines of "List of spirits (Fire Emblem series)". Depending on the quantity of them, we may or may not need to give each one a subheader rather than just a mini infobox or table row; if it's not so ludicrously many as to make this impractical, I think we should include the gameplay elements of the spirit, the image used (listing its game of origin), and also discuss the elements of the character adapted into their spirit battle. For example, the Owain one being Chrom (his uncle), a corresponding color scheme, Killing Edge, and taunting a lot are all references that should probably not be restricted to the current trophy table format. I honestly think it already is impractical, at least for the larger series. That said, we could probably include a catch-all "Notes" section in the table to mention the references from battle conditions. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs)
