The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Forum:Organization of Smash-related video presentations
While contemplating what to title a hypothetical new page for the "character showcase + game update" videos (Joker and 3.0.0, Hero and 4.0.0, and Banjo & Kazooie and 5.0.0), I noticed that there were several videos covered on Nintendo Direct that weren't said to be related to the titular video series at all, like the 50-Fact Extravaganza, New Content Approaching, and Final Video Presentation. The non-indicative page name, along with the Ultimate character showcase & game update videos being nowhere on the site, made me think that the videos should be reorganized a bit.
So what have I come up with?
- 1) Make the Nintendo Direct page a general information page about Directs, and divide Directs and other video presentations between ones related to Smash 4 and ones related to Ultimate, including the character presentation trailers for Ultimate. Make two pages for "Smash 4 Video Presentations" and "Smash Ultimate Video Presentations" (names pending), and link these on the Nintendo Direct information page.
- 2) Make the Nintendo Direct page about only videos that are explicitly Directs of some kind and list all Directs there, and put the rest of the videos on a "Miscellaneous Video Presentations" page (or two), divided by Smash 4 or Smash Ultimate relevance.
- 3) Just put all the videos on the existing Nintendo Direct page, ordered by release date.

Surprised this hasn’t been agreed yet. I personally the first works the best. RobbyB3ll4s (talk) 20:38, February 10, 2020 (EST)
Oh, so this is where that discussion went, I remember this being talked about on the Wiki Discord months ago. Voicing my support! --Plague von Karma
