The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Forum:Categories take a while to update?
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search
Sorry if this is a noob question, but -- it seems to me that categories are taking a while to update. A number of recently-created pages with categories just aren't showing up on the category pages. For instance, if you look at Special:NewPages, you can see a number of recently created tournament pages under the "2016 tournaments" category, which don't show up in that category (or any of their categories). Examples include Paradigm Shift, KSB 2016, and Full Bloom 2. Is this an error? Is this a known issue? Is there anything that can be done about this? Thank you! - It updates immediately for me, although I self-added the category. What's your browser, and have you tried hard refreshing it? MegaTron1 13:09, 19 June 2016 (EDT)
- How odd! I'm seeing it updated now too. Browser is Firefox 47 on Linux Mint. What is meant by "hard refreshing"? I've tried refreshing certainly. I mean, it appears to be working now, but if there's some more general problem I don't know about, I have no idea if it's fixed or not. Sniffnoy (talk) 19:45, 19 June 2016 (EDT)
- Not a Linux user, but hard refreshing is basically a super refresh. People have had similar issues with viewing image uploads, and that's fixed by hard refreshing. It would be logical to assume that it also helps with categories.
- Anyways, if you spot another instance of this problem, make sure to hard refresh first. If it still isn't fixed, just bring it up again and one of us can look into it some more. MegaTron1 21:50, 19 June 2016 (EDT)
