Devil Fist (デビルフィスト, Devil Fist) is Kazuya's side special move.
Overview[edit]
Kazuya turns into Devil Kazuya for a brief moment and performs a rushing straight lunge against the opponent, knocking them into the air. If the opponent is hit at the very start of the move, they will instead crumple with an added electric effect, dealing more damage. Airborne opponents will get knocked back into the air if they are hit. The move has a short, horizontal range, a long cooldown, and is unable to move through shields, making it unsafe in many situations. However, the long hitstun and excellent positioning on hit makes it a great combo starter if it connects. The move can aid Kazuya's horizontal recovery, but it can't be used if Devil Wings has already been used, and vice-versa.
Instructional quote[edit]
Move List | A charged punch that will pass through the opponent it hits. If the beginning of the attack hits, it will immobilize the opponent. |
Origin[edit]
Devil Fist is a move introduced in Tekken Tag Tournament, used by both Devil Kazuya and Angel. The move is typically performed with →, →(held) + 2. From Tekken Tag Tournament 2 onwards, it has the ability to make the opponent crumple, which was not the case in its debut game. While it used to be a stance change, Kazuya can transform into Devil Kazuya as a Rage Drive in Tekken 7, where Devil Fist replaces Zankyosho.

Trivia[edit]
- Masahiro Sakurai showed an early version of Devil Fist in a YouTube video[1] and showcased several changes made before the final version:
- Kazuya's wings during Devil Fist were repositioned so players could see the punch connect.
- Sakurai suggested adding a line that goes through opponents during Devil Fist to add atmosphere.
