Reaches forward with his right hand. While a tall stature might be compensated with a long grab range, here, Captain Falcon’s grab range is very short (the second shortest, behind {{SSBB|Ganondorf}},) while his pivot grab has absurdly slow startup for a non-tether pivot grab (the slowest to be precise). However, he can grab release characters such as {{SSBB|Wario}} and {{SSBB|Ness}}. By taking advantage of their unusual [[grab release]] animations, Falcon can follow up with a forward air (kill percentages) or up air (racking up damage).

*There's a technical oversight in Captain Falcon's pivot grab where the two near grabboxes share the same ID. This results in the middle grabbox never appearing in game.
