The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Forum:Revising the wiki status system
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search
Hello, I am proposing a revision of the status system in the event that we get a new Smash game on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Since I can expect software updates for this hypothetical game, I propose that the status system be revised as follows:
- Blue, Green, and Red statuses remain unchanged.
- Yellow status becomes the following:
- Some parts of the wiki require updating and/or verification (e.g. occasional feature updates are rolling out). Traffic is above average; it is slightly difficult for one to keep track of all edits made.
- Orange status is added in as a middle ground between Yellow and Red, with the following description:
- Important parts of the wiki are out of date (e.g. DLC is actively being released). Traffic is thick; one cannot easily track all edits made.
Do you agree with my proposed revision? Jordan P., the Sora main 17:36, January 31, 2025 (EST)

- I do not see a meaningful difference between Yellow and Orange to merit farther complicating the system. Omega Tyrant

- Oppose. Not only is there not really a point in making this now (we have no indication of what the future holds for the Smash series), but the system is, frankly, fine as it is. Most of the updates both Smash 4 and Ultimate received were for DLC characters (with the minor updates for stuff like spirits capable of being handled without issue), so there's no need to further complicate things. - Oppose, there seems very little difference between the two terms. I think this is more of a problem with users not marking things as out of date with enough liberty, if that. -

- Oppose. Yeah, as already said, I think the system is fine as is, and Yellow is well-defined enough already. SylveonFan700 (talk) 09:30, February 27, 2025 (EST)
