Remember Wikia, we left because of the new Oasis skin? Well, I found out that even though they are dumping Monaco, they are keeping Monobook after Oasis becomes the skin! While they are keeping the Monobook skin, they are not allowing it to be set as the default skin for the Wiki (with the exception of Uncyclopedia). So those that don't have an account (the majority of readers) and those who never changed the option in the preferences would still have to read the Wiki through the new skin.
