What's up? I'm a Mexican smasher who enjoys Smash 64. It is my favorite game of all time, and I like play it competitively. I also play Melee and Brawl online through Anther's Ladder, but right now I'm pretty bad at these games D;
A little bit of history
My first online Smash game was in around 2006-2007. I only remember when Emularena Grounds {Unit - X} was the primary server for all online Smash in North America (before being replaced by Galaxy 64 and subsequently Smash FU). But in 2011 was the year when I learned most of the technical stuff in 64, such as Z-cancelling, DJC and taunt-cancel.
Mains
While I don't really have a single "main" character in Smash 64, I'd say that my best and favorite characters to play are Luigi, Jigglypuff, Yoshi and DK.
