There are so far 25 characters in Brawl (including Zelda's transformation into Sheik and Samus' Zero Suit. More are probably to come, including Captain FalcoWn, Ness, Marth and Jigglypuff. Right now, this is the list of characters.

  • Sheik is a transformation of Zelda, so in retrospect, they count as 1 character.

  • Zero Suit Samus is a form of Samus, so they are sometimes considered 1 character.

Other characters are also rumored to be in the game, as there is video confirmation in the Japanese SSBB Commercial that Ness and Marth might be in the game. It is below this paragraph.
