Toon Link is a new unlockable character in Super Smash Bros Brawl. He is a replacement of Young Link from Melee. Toon Link, as his name suggests, uses the cell-shaded graphic style of Link that is present in the The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass and the promotional images for GBA Zelda games like Minish Cap. Some of the differences between Toon Link and Young Link are the graphic style and the way their attacks are played (e.g Toon Link can jump much higher than Young Link, the way he spin attacks, etc.).

Special Moves

Template:Specialmoves

Final Smash

Toon Link's final smash is almost the same as ordinary Link's final smash, which is the Triforce Slash

Costumes

Toon Link has regular Link's generic costume changes (red, blue, orchid, etc.) and has these costumes as well.

  • 1. Dark Toon Link = Toon Link's body and clothes are a pitch black color, with bright red eyes.
  • 2. Classic Link = Toon Link's hair is brown, and a darker shade of green, similar to the original Link from the first Legend Of Zelda game.

Taunts

  • 1. Toon Link waves the Wind Waker around with 'choose wind direction' at end.
  • 2. Toon Link sheathes his sword and looks around for a moment or two.
  • 3. Toon Link swings his sword around at an incredible speed, before smashing the Master Sword violently to the ground which causes him to nearly fall from the sword's weight.

Availability

You can find Toon Link somewhere along the storyline in The Subspace Emissary. Other ways to unlock him are unknown, but it is presumed that if you complete classic mode with Link, you can fight him and he will be unlocked.
