The GERM is an American smasher from Northern California, currently living in New Orleans, known to be one of the best Link mains in the world and is well known for his aggressively fast play style with Link and has achieved the most success as a Link main in tournaments. He is primarily famous for putting together and editing DBR's Evolution, and for his part in the same video as a player.

Additionally, he also created Linkology and The Hylian Nightmare, two supplementary Link videos. The GERM is currently ranked 17th on the NorCal Melee Power Rankings. GERM created the official poster of Samox's documentary, The Smash Brothers.
