List of changes from game-game lists

So should the "changes from game-game" sections for character articles be changed into lists using that use the change, buff, and nerf templates? Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 15:30, 22 September 2013 (EDT)

That is my intent. I like the way Mario (SSBM) has this done. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Honcho 16:00, 22 September 2013 (EDT)

Missing alt text and overlinking

A recent revert to this template (diff) removed the alt text from the image, and linked the image to its description page. This results in MediaWiki generating confusing default alt text ("Notice dot p-n-g" instead of "Change"). It also results in overlinking, requiring many Tab key presses to navigate change lists by keyboard.

The editor making this revert stated that accessibility efforts are not worthwhile on SmashWiki, and directed further discussion to this talk page. I can understand accessibility being a low priority, but I'm not sure how that justifies the additional step of a revert to keep the wiki less accessible. ライケン(Rigel Kent) (talk) 05:55, 8 June 2016 (EDT)

My opinion: Put it back if you want, as long as it doesn't really change anything for normal users (which in this specific case I don't think it does). That said it is indeed true that we don't really care all that much about accessibility. While this is mostly because it's never been brought up before, the fact is we're a wiki for a visually-intense fast-paced high-skill video game series, and if you need help to read text on a webpage I find it hard to believe you could play such games enjoyably.
