Hipstur is a smasher from Reno, Nevada who mains Fox in both Smash 64 and Melee, whom he refers to as being "cute" and therefore his character of choice.
He often competes in local Melee tournaments and plays Smash 64 both on console and online through Kaillera. He is the first member to join the new generation of TR3G, as The Z saw him as a promising player.
Initially, he played a rather inefficient Fox who emphasized tech skill too much, but was later trained by the great Bane who contributed to the advancement of his neutral game.
Hipstur is the pioneer of the dubbed hamstur kick, as coined by LD. It refers to using the set knockback of Fox's low-angled forward tilt indefinitely while edgeguarding until the opponent loses their composure and does a mistake or self-destructs.
Trivia
- Hipstur has a fond liking of hedgehogs, and uses many pictures of them to create slideshows when streaming.
- He dislikes wearing pants (he only wears shorts).
- He also does not wear socks, referring to them as "straitjackets for feet".
- He often utilizes a myriad on emoticons to reflect his mood, not unlike his good friend and fellow TR3G member The Z.They are both known for frequently using ' c: ' when in a good mood.
- Hipstur is one of the few players to keep a written notebook of Smash 64. He jots down seas of notes whenever the opportunity arises, including theory-crafting, match-ups, and professional advice.
