Battle of the Five Gods was an invitational Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament held in Austin, Texas from March 17th to 19th, 2016, as part of the SXSW Gaming Expo festival. The tournament currently holds the record for highest single player payout in Smash, with $13,000 awarded to Hungrybox, for winning the tournament.

Results
Hungrybox ended up the victor after two close sets with fellow "god" mang0 (Joseph Marquez). Mang0 was able to take the tournament to a losers grand final after taking the first set 3-0. But with the bracket reset came a new Hungrybox, and the jigglypuff main was able to close it out 3-2 and take home the $11,000 prize.
