Everyone has their favorites. So here's my top 10 favorite video games.

10 Sonic Generations (3DS) You know, I actually haven't played the console version of this game. That being said, it's still a great game. The levels are nice, the soundtrack is excellent, and overall, it just looks and feels like a Sonic game. File:Sonic Generations 3DS.jpg

9 Fire Emblem: Awakening Some people buy games because they're curious about the series; you know, they hear about it somewhere, and ask themselves, "why the hell not?" That's exactly what happened with me and Awakening; I was there for Robin and Lucina's reveal trailer, and a few days later, I saw their game at GameStop. So I bought it. I have yet to finish it, but the level of detail in the cutscenes is enough to rival that of the Layton series. File:Fire Emblem Awakening.jpg

8 Hyrule Warriors I've never been too keen on the Zelda series; the way the games are laid out confuses me a lot. That being said, Hyrule Warriors is different. It's a beat em up game, making it different from the rest of the series, with a lot of great levels, characters, and of course, songs. (Personally, my favorite is the Skyloft remix.) 7 Mario Kart 8 I love this game, even more so than MK7. The graphics are amazing, the tracks are brilliant, and the soundtrack is outstanding. Not to mention all the DLC. File:Mario Kart 8.jpg

6 Metroid Fusion My first Metroid game was actually Super Metroid, but to be honest, it was a bit...disappointing. It wasn't bad at all, but the way it was laid out confused me. My friend then recommended Fusion, which I bought, and was very pleased by. File:Metroid Fusion.jpg

5 Kid Icarus: Uprising When I first bought this game and started playing it, the only thing I had to ask was: "Why didn't I get this game sooner?!" Seriously, this game is top notch. The cutscenes are beautiful, the soundtrack fits everything, and the dialogue is the best part about the game. File:Kid Icarus Uprising.jpg

4 Baten Kaitos Origins I actually emulated this game onto my computer. I was searching for more GCN games to get, and I saw Baten Kaitos Origins. I recognized it from the Gaur Plains stage in Smash 4, and so I figured, why not? And holy shit, did I make a good choice. I'm not one who's normally into RPGs, but the way this was laid out felt so good. File:Baten Kaitos Origins.jpg

3 Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Oh my god, this game was amazing. The soundtrack, the humor, the characters, the plot, all so amazing. It definitely mixes the Professor Layton series and the Ace Attorney series well. File:Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.jpg

2 Sonic Colors This used to be my favorite game of all time, but then my love for crossovers took over. That being said, this is, by no means, an inferior game. I don't even know where to begin with this game, to be honest. It was just so...colorful. The Wisps were enjoyable, the level design was great, and the soundtrack is just phenomenal. Sure, others can argue that there are other Sonic games that are better than Colors, but for me, Colors will always have a special place in my heart. File:Sonic Colors.jpg

1 Super Smash Bros. 4 I'm a sucker for crossovers, and with characters from all these different franchises, ranging from popular franchises like Mario, Kirby, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon, to not as well known franchises like Fire Emblem, Game & Watch, EarthBound, and Xenoblade, to third party franchises like Sonic, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy and now Bayonetta, Smash 4 is definitely one of the greatest games of all time.
