Let me join on the congrats train, congrats on becoming a rollbacker too! :D Disaster Flare (talk) 12:13, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
Did you guys......just walk up slowly...and copypaste this on Disaster Flare's page? 16:08, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
Thanks all :D SerpentKing (talk) 19:40, 22 October 2015 (EDT)

(reset indent) OK, I'm getting perplexed as of this point. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Dare I ask about what? SerpentKing (talk) 03:31, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
A majority of users have been receiving rollback lately. I feel to be the odd one out. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Noticeboard

Sorry about that, I typically know that, but I'm multitasking like crazy right now and it's an abnormally slow day on the wiki when it comes to vandals. XD Disaster Flare (talk) 20:02, 22 October 2015 (EDT)

No problem SerpentKing (talk) 20:07, 22 October 2015 (EDT)

Toon Link

Why do you keep doing that? - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

TL has a higher weight val than YL, fine. But in our changes, we do not list that TL is heavier, as the new weight/knockback formula changes everything. When comparing 2 games, the numbers matter very little (except damage). SerpentKing (talk) 02:12, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
What formula (also, what about when comparing Fox from Melee to Brawl; he goes from 75 to 80)? - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Knockback. SerpentKing (talk) 02:16, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
That formula doesn't correlate with weight, just knockback, which is affected by both weight and gravity (which is exactly what I've been telling you). - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
...right...it affects weight...that's my point. SerpentKing (talk) 02:23, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
It does not. Weight remains the same, but how it factors in gravity just simply affects knockback taken, and few heavier characters take more knockback than lighter characters. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

reset indent ...what? No...no it doesn't. SerpentKing (talk) 02:28, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

No what doesn't? - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
within the same game, Heavy characters will take less KB than lighter characters. SerpentKing (talk) 02:32, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Here's proof: here. Fox can take more knockback than MK and Pikachu despite being heavier. Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, fine, but that's the extra gravity variable working. SerpentKing (talk) 02:38, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Exactly. So TL may just take more kb than YL even though he's heavier, only because of the formula factoring in gravity. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Your missing the fact that the gravity variable doesn't exist in Melee, as far as I know SerpentKing (talk) 02:40, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
I know, but this is Brawl we're talking aboot here. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Look, fact is that if the same amount of base KB and angle is applied to 0% YL and to 0% TL, TL is going to go further. SerpentKing (talk) 02:46, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

That's what I said. TL is heavier, but takes more knockback due to the new formula. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Then he's lighter!!! If you want to put it like that, you'll have to mention that, in the end, because of the gravity stat, he ends up being lighter than YL. SerpentKing (talk) 02:48, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
(facepalm) Oh my freaking god, you just don't get it, do you? The new formula applied to SSBB only changes knockback due to a new factor of gravity, but nevertheless, the weight values do not change (this is beginning to be like the argument between Miles and Omega on Alph page). - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
#1 SW:NPA. #2 Then why did you say YLs weight was lower? It isn't... SerpentKing (talk) 02:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
I said that because it's true. Also, how was I personally attacking you? - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Really? WE JUST WENT OVER THIS. It isn't true, weight is not changed, gravity is. Note that. SerpentKing (talk) 02:58, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

(reset indent) Look, let me just make a long story short: TL is 92 units whereas YL is 85, and therefore TL is heavier. However, due to the Brawl formula factoring in gravity as an extra for knockback determined, TL just happens to take more knockback than YL in spite of being heavier. Nonetheless, the formula does NOT affect a character's weight, but just simply the knockback taken, so TL is still heavier than YL. Does that sound clear to you now? - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

That ^ (summarized) is what needs to go on the page, not what you put. It was too confusing. SerpentKing (talk) 03:06, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Okay, I'm mad. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Why!?! SerpentKing (talk) 03:13, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Why ask? - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Right then. I'm done. SerpentKing (talk) 03:16, 23 October 2015 (EDT)
Well, sleep tight. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:54, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Arguably the whole section should be reworked, as YL and TL are not the same character and shouldn't be treated as equivalent across games. A brief "here are general similarities/differences between them as Link clones" would suffice; comparing the more technical data is less worthwhile. Miles (talk) 03:21, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Link hitbox gifs

There's some gifs of Link's hitboxes from the Melee debug display in the speedy delete category for being unused; are these going to be used in your debug stuff at some point, or can I clear them out? Miles (talk) 14:38, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Nono, I contributed those for Link (SSBM)/Hitboxes, but then realized that they take less time to load if I simply use imgur. Feel free to get rid of them. SerpentKing (talk) 21:17, 23 October 2015 (EDT)

Question

Why do you hate me so much (ever since that yesterday incident)? Also, why are you wishing me bad luck for my RfR? - Drilly the Hedgehog 00:50, 24 October 2015 (EDT)

I attempted to help, you come back with a smartass reply. "You've gotta be kidding me." SerpentKing (talk) 00:56, 24 October 2015 (EDT)

Also, I don't hate you. You just frustrated me last night. SerpentKing (talk) 01:04, 24 October 2015 (EDT)
How? - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:05, 24 October 2015 (EDT)
Well the conversation we had could be a good indicator. SerpentKing (talk) 01:12, 24 October 2015 (EDT)

Look, please adhere to SW:TALK instead of spouting random comments on my talk page. Thank you SerpentKing (talk) 03:45, 24 October 2015 (EDT)
I still need an answer for why you were wishing me bad luck for my RfR? - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:46, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
I tried to help you, and you were impolite. SerpentKing (talk) 01:57, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
How? - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:59, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
Your reply was: "You've gotta be kidding me." implying that you were dismayed that I attempted to help you. SerpentKing (talk) 02:02, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
True, I was upset, but I wasn't being mad at you. I was just disappointed that I gave those examples for nothing, so I eventually changed it to one that occured on the admin noticeboard by JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS!. - Drilly the Hedgehog 02:13, 25 October 2015 (EDT)

That's it. I'm going to bed. See you guys tomorrow.

How is this "reason" not funny (I asked INoMed the same thing and they said no)? - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:00, 26 October 2015 (EDT)

Reasons are supposed to be actual reasons. I am not sure what is so confusing about this. SerpentKing (talk) 01:01, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
I already understand how reasons work, but I'm asking if this is funny or not. - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:07, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Not that it matters, but no. I don't really get how it could be considered funny by anyone to be honest. Either way, the reason should not have been used and you definitely should not have edit warred with us on it. SerpentKing (talk) 01:10, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
I did apologize already, unless you're still frustrated. - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:14, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Easy Drilly, let's not start any arguments here. Disaster Flare (talk) 01:15, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Nah it's good. Just...could you try being more...Idk professional? from now on? SerpentKing (talk) 01:16, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Sure, I hope. Good luck with the adminship, though (try not to embarrass yourself like I did before I withdrew mine). - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:17, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Thanks, and nah, it was a good try. My recommendation: Get a bit more experience under the belt, and hopefully one day you'll be willing to try again. Disaster Flare (talk) 01:17, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Are you older than me? - Drilly the Hedgehog 01:18, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
I don't know to be honest. XD My age is on my user page if you're curious though. Disaster Flare (talk) 01:19, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Sucks that no vandalism is occurring at this point. I really wanna test the rollback function. - Drilly the Hedgehog 02:20, 26 October 2015 (EDT)

(reset indent) Also, I wanna know if Disaster Flare thinks the section name is funny. - Drilly the Hedgehog 02:58, 26 October 2015 (EDT)

I can't deny that I did chuckle... XD Disaster Flare (talk) 03:04, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Thanks. Still, it sucks how no vandalism is occurring as of now, since it means I can't find an edit to revert. - Drilly the Hedgehog 03:07, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
Give it time. Vandals come when they think you least expect it. Disaster Flare (talk) 03:09, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
To Diaster Flare: You call that a good try? I didn't even get any "Support" feedback, and all I got was "Oppose". Also, the request only lasted for two or three days before I withdrew it. - Drilly the Hedgehog 00:46, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
For what it's worth, I had a failed RfA too. It was withdrawn due to it being a stalemate. I understand how it feels. I wanted to leave SW, but I realized 2 things: 1) I have put WAY too much effort into this project to just leave, and 2) I cannot allow my failures to control me. Learn from this. This applies to all the recent failed RfAs. SerpentKing (talk) 02:36, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
Well I'm getting votes, but the problem is not a lot of people are voting. I'm hoping that my bigger devotion to the mainspace (that's what I've been doing if you've been keeping track) will encourage more people to vote for/against me, though regardless I'd still contribute as much as I can. Disaster Flare (talk) 02:40, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
Well there is something I was going to do, but you can do it if you need edits. using this table, Make redirects for all stage debug names. This includes adventure mode clones like "5-1GREENS" (which would point to Green Greens). SerpentKing (talk) 23:01, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
No thanks. I've got what I need in order to prove myself plus more, you need the edits too for if/when you decide to apply again, I'll be rooting for you if/when you do. :D Disaster Flare (talk) 23:04, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
I did it, but I'm good on edits. SerpentKing (talk) 23:38, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
Yeah but still, redirects aren't exactly up my alley, you know? I thrive best with expanding on articles that need expansion. XD Disaster Flare (talk) 23:39, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

Good luck.

About the "rollover" command

I've tested it, and it works. It's perfectly functional, even with a link. The only issue is that it requires accuracy to actually trigger it. Here, give it a shot:

So, if you want them all gone, just tell me. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 07:10, 27 October 2015 (EDT)

Rollover doesn't work on mobile, so it is easy to activate the link. xD INoMedssig.png INoMed (Talk • Contribs) 07:13, 27 October 2015 (EDT)
BTW, I use an iPad, on the desktop version. INoMedssig.png INoMed (Talk • Contribs) 07:17, 27 October 2015 (EDT)
Well, "rollover" was designed as a desktop only feature... And I'm currently using my iPad as well, and it seems touch screens can't trigger it either. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 07:28, 27 October 2015 (EDT)
Also, Rollback works on mobile as well! You just need to tap rollback to rollback the edits. (You don't need to ctrl/cmmnd click the button.) INoMedssig.png INoMed (Talk • Contribs) 07:34, 27 October 2015 (EDT)
...Rollback? Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 07:54, 27 October 2015 (EDT)
