User:Nyargleblargle/DraftAlert In every Super Smash Bros. game so far, Kirby has had the ability to copy any other characters' neutral special moves with his neutral special attack, Inhale. If another Kirby is swallowed, only damage is dealt, but Kirby can steal a copy ability off the enemy Kirby, if they had one. When Kirby copies one of his opponents, he will also bear a resemblance of that character in the form of a hat of some kind, which usually show a prominent part of the character copied, and often times mimics their voices/sounds. When performing copied attacks, Kirby will also use the same weapons and poses as their owners.

Kirby can choose to discard the ability at any time by using his taunt, though he may also lose it when taking damage.

Character Super Smash Bros. Melee Special move Notes
Captain Falcon File:Kirby cfalcon ssb.jpg Kirbyfalcon.png Falcon Punch Amusingly imitates the famous "Falcon Punch!" shout. This imitation has become famous in its own right. Allows Kirby to use Falcon Punch as a horizontal recovery move in the original game
Donkey Kong File:Super Smash Bros. (U) snap0085.jpg Kirbydk.png Giant Punch Allows Kirby to turn in the air easier because of charge cancels in the original game. Also sends Kirby into freefall in Melee.
Fox File:Kirby fox ssb.jpg Fox KirbySSBM.png Blaster Gives Kirby the ability to short hop double laser and even short hop triple laser, as a result of Kirby's floatiness.
Jigglypuff File:Kirby jigglypuff ssb.jpg Kirbyjiiggly.png PoundSSB64 Icon.png This Kirby hat is whatever colour Kirby is, instead of Jigglypuff pink. This is the only hat in this game to have such a property. It differs from Jigglypuff's Pound in that using this move toward a ledge sends Kirby off of the ledge, being notable for having much higher distance if Kirby leaves the ground at the end of the Pound animation (it is capable of traveling nearly the length of a Dream Land soft platform if spaced correctly).
RolloutSSBM Icon.pngSSBB Icon.pngSSB4 Icon.png This Kirby hat is whatever colour Kirby is, instead of Jigglypuff pink. Also, Kirby says "Puu-rin!" for the move (Jigglypuff's Japanese name being Purin), regardless of the game's current language settings.
Link File:Kirby link ssb.jpg Kirbylink.png BoomerangSSB64 Icon.png Looks similar to Sword Kirby, since the Sword Kirby hat is likely a reference to Link. The attack is similar to Kirby's Cutter ability from his own games. Unlike the original that Link uses, Kirby can throw the boomerang through solid walls if he is touching them, allowing a method of pseudo-sharking on stages like Hyrule Castle (especially from the Greenhouse side) or Dream Land.
Hero's BowSSBM Icon.pngSSBB Icon.pngSSB4 Icon.png Looks similar to Sword Kirby, since the Sword Kirby hat is likely a reference to Link.
Luigi File:Kirby luigi ssb.jpg Kirbyluigi.png Fireball
Mario File:Kirby mario ssb.jpg Mario Kirby.png Fireball As Kirby is shorter than Mario, his Fireball is likely to vanish faster due to bouncing too much, unless it's used in the air.
Ness File:Kirby ness ssb.jpg Kirbyness.png PK FireSSB64 Icon.png Kirby also does not wear the hat exactly as Ness does; he wears it backwards, whereas Ness wears it sideways. This may be a reference to Yo-Yo Kirby, Wheel Kirby, and/or Paint Kirby.
PK FlashSSBM Icon.pngSSBB Icon.pngSSB4 Icon.png
Pikachu File:Kirby pikachew ssb.jpg Pikachu KirbySSBM.png Thunder Jolt
Samus File:Kirby samus ssb.jpg Kirbysamus.png Charge Shot
Yoshi File:Kirby yoshi ssb.jpg Kirbyyoshi.png Egg Lay Kirby's original tongue is still shown while he is attempting to use Egg Lay.
